Barnes & Thornburg announced that transactional attorney Brian T. Robertson has joined the Dallas office as a partner in the firm’s Corporate Department. Robertson’s addition follows the firm’s addition of five partners last month across multiple offices and practice groups, marking continued expansion of Barnes & Thornburg’s national presence in key markets.

“Brian’s arrival strengthens our national private equity and middle-market M&A capabilities at a time when clients are navigating increasingly complex deals, tighter timelines and heightened competition,” said Jahan Sharifi, chair of Barnes & Thornburg’s Corporate Department. “The precision, efficiency and smart commercial judgment he brings to every transaction is exactly what our clients need in this challenging environment.”

Robertson advises middle-market sponsors, independent sponsors and national private equity firms on complex M&A transactions, including buy-side transactions, across a wide range of industries. Beyond M&A work, his practice encompasses corporate matters including securities offerings, equity and debt financing, strategic contracting, dispositions and corporate compliance.

“As Texas continues to be a national hub for middle-market M&A activity, Brian’s strong reputation in this market and his impressive track record supporting deals make him a valuable addition to our team,” said Thomas Haskins, managing partner of Barnes & Thornburg’s Dallas office. “His transactional skill set, combined with well-established relationships in the Dallas business community, positions him as a valuable contributor to our office.”

Robertson earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Baylor University School of Law and his M.S. and B.B.A. from Texas A&M University.
