Austin Financial Services (AFS) hired Joe Curdy as its new senior vice president and chief risk officer. In this role, Curdy will work alongside senior management and be responsible for managing asset quality and financial risk to ensure it continues to meet the organization’s standards and growth goals.

“We are very happy to welcome Joe to the AFS team,” Jason Anish, president and CEO of Austin Financial, said. “Joe’s impressive background, industry expertise in lending and risk management will allow us to continue to enhance our clients’ experience, strengthen our ability to evaluate credit in this current environment and further establish our strong position in the industry.”

Prior to joining AFS, Curdy held leadership roles with Wells Fargo and Waterfall Asset Management.
Headquartered in Los Angeles and with a nationwide lending focus, Austin Financial Services is a privately held middle-market lender that provides alternative funding in the form of lines of credit to small and medium sized businesses.
