Alvarez & Marsal appointed Anthony Vitale to a senior director role within its corporate performance improvement practice.

Vitale joined A&M with more than 25 years of experience in finance function performance improvement, specializing in finance service delivery strategy in shared services and outsourcing, target operating model design and technology-enabled process optimization. He has led planning and assessment engagements from design through implementation across multiple industries. He has also authored several white papers on finance function best practices.

“Every day our C-suite and board clients face critical organizational decisions and turn to A&M as their trusted advisor to help navigate the impact of their choices,” Cody Chenault, managing director and lead for the CFO Services practice at Alvarez & Marsal, said. “Anthony’s strategic, hands-on approach to transforming an organization’s finance function aligns with our operational heritage and strengthens our ability to maximize value for clients.”

Prior to joining A&M, Vitale was a managing director with Grant Thornton Advisory where he launched the firm’s finance transformation practice and shared services and outsourcing solutions. Before that, he held leadership positions at EY and PwC and a variety of financial planning and analysis roles for consumer goods and automotive companies. He began his career in public accounting.
