Alvarez & Marsal Adds Dyberg and Valdes to Corporate Performance Improvement Group

Erick Valdes and Patrik Dyberg have joined global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal’s (A&M) corporate performance improvement (CPI) group as managing directors within its digital and technology services practice. Collectively, Valdes’ and Dyberg’s more than 60 years of change management, digital transformation and systems integration expertise, advances A&M’s ability to identify technology solutions that help clients drive change.

Valdes specializes in large-scale program management and organizational change management for financial services companies’ information technology functions. Through the lens of his financial services IT experience, he advises clients on IT transformation, digital transformation and system integration. Additionally, Valdes has extensive expertise leading global application development groups at capital markets and asset/wealth management firms.

Valdes has worked with Fortune 100 investment banks, hedge funds and market research firms across multiple industries including energy utilities and online sports-book gaming. Prior to joining A&M, he served as president and chief operating officer for the U.S. subsidiary of a UK-headquartered technology and engineering consultancy.

Dyberg leverages his higher education and media sector knowledge with his ability to help clients drive substantial business outcomes through technology. He advises clients on business and IT alignment, digital transformation, data and content management, acquisition integration, data analytics, process automation and product development.

Dyberg has led the technology function for several global organizations and has managed numerous complex enterprise transformations. In addition to higher education, he has worked across various industries, including publishing and information services, financial services and technology. Previously, Dyberg served as executive vice president and chief technology officer of American Public Education, Inc (APEI).

Erick’s and Patrik’s deep education and financial services sector experience combined with their extensive technical expertise, will help our clients envision innovative uses of technology to address business challenges amidst an evolving economic and regulatory environment,” Jean Hill, a managing director and national solution leader for CPI’s digital and technology services practice at A&M, said. “They will expand A&M’s strong technology advisory depth and results-driven mindset.”
