Alterna Capital Solutions Hires Douglas as Chief Experience Officer

Alterna Capital Solutions, a specialty and alternative financing lender to small businesses experiencing growth, added Alexander Douglas as chief experience officer (CXO). Douglas arrives following the firm’s record 2021 where 46 new clients joined the roster, including several start-ups. Alterna founder and president, Stan Carpenter, welcomes Douglas to this CXO role during a time of significant growth when strategies for scaling the firm’s client service model are critical to company culture and operational success.

“The best service in the industry has been our focus and differentiation from day one,” Carpenter said. “I’m proud of the quality leadership we’ve assembled since 2018, and with Alex joining us we have a proven leader whose sole focus is improving on our performance as demand for our brand of financial partnership is growing. I’m confident that our clients, our team members and our company as a whole will benefit greatly from his expertise.”

“I’m honored to join a team that has client service in its DNA.” Douglas said. “Knowing Alterna already has a high bar for excellence in service, I look forward to the challenge of developing systemic programs that further elevate the experience of our clients and our fellow Alterna team members.”

Douglas joins the Alterna executive team as CXO based in Orlando, FL. Douglas is responsible for identifying, planning and executing client-centric strategies designed to achieve excellence in client service in pursuit of the firm’s ultimate goal: helping small business owners achieve their dreams. Douglas brings 15 years of experience in collegiate athletic operations, including most recently as director of development at Florida State University where he previously held the position of director of annual giving. Prior to FSU, he served as director of development, athletics at Texas State University, and as associate director, athletic tickets at Columbia University NYC.
