Allen Matkins hired Kenneth C. Wang, a tax partner, to its growing New York office. With his addition, the New York office now includes 12 lawyers encompassing real estate, corporate, litigation and tax.

Wang counsels clients on all aspects of U.S. tax law, including mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, partnerships and joint ventures, fund formation, financing transactions, business restructurings and reorganizations and international tax. Wang joins the firm from Stradley Ronon, where he was co-chair of the tax department. He previously served as senior tax counsel at a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport and healthcare. In this position, he was responsible for leading U.S. tax planning for all mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and internal restructurings. He also worked as tax counsel for an American multinational energy corporation and in the tax department at an international law firm.

“We are excited to welcome Ken to our New York office,” Sandy Jacobson, operating partner of the New York office at Allen Matkins, said. “In addition to being a great tax lawyer, his national and international practice represents another step toward providing our clients with a full range of services out of our New York office.”

Wang received his juris doctor degree from University of Chicago and his B.A. from Rutgers University.
