FactorFox Software announced an integrated participation platform, a native capability within FactorFox AI that allows factoring companies to connect available capital with receivables financing opportunities without relying on a separate participation management system.
The platform brings participation discovery, transaction documentation, funding controls, accounting and settlement into the same operating environment factors use to manage their daily business. Factors with available capital can evaluate participation opportunities, while factors seeking additional funding capacity can offer eligible receivables for participation under mutually agreed terms.
“Smaller factoring companies have always faced a fundamental disadvantage,” Roberto Vasquez, founder and CEO of FactorFox, said. “They can originate good business, understand their customers, and manage risk effectively, but their ability to grow is often constrained by capital. We built participation directly into FactorFox because access to capital shouldn’t depend entirely on the size of your company.”
Unlike participation processes managed through spreadsheets, email correspondence and disconnected accounting systems, FactorFox connects participation transactions to the underlying receivables and financial records.
Originating factors can identify eligible opportunities, control what information is disclosed and establish participation terms. Participating factors can evaluate opportunities against their investment criteria, review authorized supporting information and manage their positions within the platform.
Both parties retain their own financial records, with participation activity connected to the same underlying receivables. Collections, participant allocations and settlement activity are managed through defined workflows with authorization and reconciliation controls.
The participation platform extends FactorFox’s broader strategy of providing independent factoring companies with technology traditionally associated with much larger financial institutions.
FactorFox AI already supports branded client experiences, allowing factors to operate customer portals under their own names, visual identities and custom domains. Combined with AI-assisted operations, underwriting intelligence, treasury and financial reporting, the platform gives smaller organizations access to operating capabilities without requiring comparable investments in proprietary infrastructure. Participation connects factors that have receivables financing opportunities with factors that have available capital.
“We’re not trying to make every factoring company the same size,” Vasquez said. “We’re making size less of a determining factor in what a company can accomplish. Your brand remains your brand. Your customers remain your customers. Now the technology can also help connect your opportunities with capital.”
Participation is not a separate application or external marketplace that requires factors to maintain disconnected financial records. The native platform supports opportunity identification, controlled information disclosure, participant evaluation, transaction documentation, funding confirmation, servicing and settlement.
FactorFox also incorporates receivables intelligence, including payment behavior, aging, concentration and dilution information, to help authorized participants evaluate opportunities using underlying operating evidence.
Transactions remain subject to participant eligibility requirements, contractual terms, required approvals and applicable financing restrictions. Capital availability is not guaranteed.
Eligible FactorFox customers can enable participation within their existing operating environment, subject to applicable configuration and participation requirements.
FactorFox’s commercial model includes transaction-based fees associated with participation activity, extending the company’s established software subscription business into services supporting transactions conducted through its platform.
FactorFox provides the technology and transaction infrastructure. Participating financial institutions make their own credit and investment decisions and enter into their own participation agreements.
FactorFox introduced its first cloud-based factoring platform in 2002 and today serves more than 100 factoring and specialty finance organizations internationally.
The participation announcement follows the introduction of FactorFox AI, the company’s AI-native operating system. Earlier this month, FactorFox announced that 107 existing customers had been onboarded into its new SANDBOX environment, with initial customers operating in production.
The company will demonstrate FactorFox AI during a public Microsoft Teams event on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. Eastern.
