Pemberton Asset Management, a European private credit manager, hired Dominic Courtman as managing director and head of its collateralized loan obligation (CLO) group.
Courtman brings more than 30 years of experience across leveraged credit, portfolio management and corporate finance. Most recently, Courtman was managing director, deputy CIO and senior portfolio manager at Investcorp, where he was responsible for the portfolio management of the firm’s European CLOs and closed-ended credit funds.
After nearly five years with Pemberton, Rob Reynolds has decided to step back from his role as head of CLOs to spend more time with his family and pursue some of his other interests, including his writing.
“We are delighted to welcome Dominic to lead Pemberton’s growing CLO platform,” Ben Gulliver, head of portfolio management and co-head of direct lending at Pemberton, said. “Dominic brings a wealth of experience from over 30 years in the industry and will be instrumental progressing the expansion of the platform. I would like to thank Rob for his contribution to Pemberton over the past five years. During his time with Pemberton, Rob has overseen the establishment and development of the Pemberton Indigo CLO platform and has contributed more broadly to the firm.”
Courtman added, “I am delighted to be joining Pemberton at an exciting stage in the ongoing development of its CLO group platform. The strength of the team and the building momentum behind the Indigo series provide an excellent foundation for continued growth. I look forward to working with the wider team to build on the platform’s success.”
Reynolds said, “I have greatly enjoyed the challenge of establishing the Indigo platform and am very grateful for the support I have received from Ben and the team at Pemberton. I’m looking forward to spending more time with my family and getting my first book published.”
