Mountain Ridge Capital (MRC), an asset-based commercial finance company, promoted Blake Brown to managing director of underwriting for both MRC and Alpine Ridge Funding.
Brown joined Mountain Ridge Capital as vice president of underwriting in 2025, after holding a senior underwriting role at MRC’s sister company, Alpine Ridge Funding. He brings deep expertise in secured finance, with a focus on factoring and asset-based lending, developed across senior underwriting roles serving manufacturing, distribution, consumer goods and other industries. His experience spans the full credit lifecycle on transactions ranging from growth and working capital facilities to turnarounds, refinancings and acquisition financings. Brown has a proven track record of getting complex middle-market transactions done — always with an eye toward helping clients meet their challenges and drive success.
As managing director of underwriting, Brown will oversee the underwriting function across both Mountain Ridge Capital and Alpine Ridge Funding, with responsibility for credit quality, deal execution and the continued development of the underwriting team. He will partner closely with our clients and referral partners to deliver thoughtfully structured financing solutions.
