Nolan Reichert
Vice President & Head of Originations
Haversine Funding

Nolan Reichert understands that in the fast-moving world of specialty finance, speed and flexibility are often the deciding factors for a successful deal. As vice president and head of originations at Haversine Funding, Reichert recently managed a high- pressure situation for a lending platform whose existing capital provider abruptly exited the space. Without a new partner, the platform’s ability to continue originating would have been disrupted.

“The deal required moving quickly, but it was also somewhat outside of a traditional credit box,” Reichert says. Because his team focuses specifically on this sector, they were able to move through diligence quickly and structure a facility that replaced the prior lender while providing more flexibility for future growth.

Reichert’s professional philosophy is built on the foundation of transparency and consistency. He believes that the best outcomes occur when he takes the time to understand how a client’s business actually
works — their strategy, risk tolerance and long-term goals. “I also think it’s important to approach relationships as partnerships rather than transactions,” he explains. By structuring solutions that genuinely support the business rather than just solving an immediate problem, he builds the trust necessary to keep relationships strong across different market cycles.

Beyond his financial expertise, Reichert considers curiosity his “secret weapon” for closing deals. He believes that asking the right questions and striving to understand the full picture behind a business makes a significant difference in structuring effective deals.

“A lot of times the numbers tell part of the story, but the real insight comes from understanding the operator, their strategy and how their portfolio actually performs day today,” Reichert says.

This curiosity helps build rapport with clients, ensuring they feel supported by a partner who is working toward the same goal rather than just checking boxes.
