SixCap Healthcare Finance launched as a nationwide focused founder-led healthcare finance platform delivering customized capital solutions across healthcare asset-based lending and real estate. Built by seasoned investors and lenders with deep operating experience, SixCap provides healthcare owners with capital shaped by real-world insight and direct access to decision makers.
SixCap operates as an integrated healthcare finance platform with dedicated leadership across its two core businesses. The firm’s healthcare asset-based lending (ABL) platform is led by Jennifer Sheasgreen, co-founder and CEO. The real estate platform is led by Steven Lebowitz, co-founder and CEO. Together, the leadership team brings decades of experience across healthcare operations, real estate investing and structured lending.
SixCap’s Healthcare ABL platform, led by Sheasgreen, Dan Whitwer, co-founder and chief investment officer, and Edward Kauffman, co-founder and executive vice president of business development, provides customized working capital solutions tailored to the cash flow and reimbursement dynamics of healthcare businesses. The platform supports healthcare providers and service companies through growth initiatives, acquisitions, restructurings and operational transitions with facility sizes of $1 million – $50 million.
“We built this ABL platform to serve healthcare businesses navigating growth and transition —with speed, creativity and flexibility shaped by a transparent lending experience,” Jennifer Sheasgreen, CEO of SixCap’s healthcare ABL platform, said. “Being backed by a private equity firm deeply entrenched in healthcare gives us an aligned, long-term partner that understands the complexities of this industry and supports our relationship-first approach.”
SixCap’s healthcare real estate platform, led by Lebowitz and Ari Weinberger, co-founder and chief investment officer, provides debt both senior and mezzanine loans and equity financing for stabilized, transitional and value-add healthcare properties, including skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living and behavioral health and specialty care facilities. The platform supports acquisitions, recapitalizations, repositionings and complex capital situations.
Together, Lebowitz and Weinberger bring decades of experience across seniors housing operations, real estate private equity, healthcare investment banking and capital markets, with more than $2.5 billion of invested and advised capital across the healthcare and real estate sectors.
“Healthcare doesn’t reward rigid capital — it rewards flexibility,” Lebowitz said. “SixCap was created to bring together experienced operators and investors who know how to structure capital through acquisitions, transitions and growth — without losing sight of the underlying business.”
SixCap’s leadership team brings deep experience across healthcare operations, real estate investing, investment banking and structured lending.
