Franklin Capital, a provider of accounts receivable, purchase order and stretch financing solutions, hired Meghan Knott as vice president of legal documentation.
Knott brings more than a decade of experience in secured transactions, collateral analysis, underwriting due diligence and risk mitigation. Her career has been defined by a meticulous approach to legal documentation, perfected lien management, fraud detection and process improvements that accelerate funding timelines while strengthening credit quality.
Most recently, Knott served as a collateral documentation analyst at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, overseeing borrowing agreements, UCC management, intercreditor review and collateral risk controls. Her earlier career includes underwriting leadership, where she strengthened documentation accuracy, resolved complex lien issues and improved processes for complex credit scenarios.
“Meghan’s depth of knowledge in UCC management, intercreditor agreements and collateral documentation is exceptional,” Gary Edidin, chairman and CEO of Franklin Capital, said. “She understands how legal documentation directly impacts risk, speed to funding and credit integrity. Her experience across underwriting, collateral control and regulatory environments makes her an invaluable addition to our team as we continue to scale.”
In her new role, Knott will help ensure new deals are onboarded safely and properly documented. She will also oversee legal documentation standards, lien perfection strategy, intercreditor coordination and documentation workflows across Franklin’s portfolio of transactions.
“I’m excited to join Franklin Capital and be part of a team that values precision, speed and smart risk management. The company’s commitment to delivering reliable funding solutions while maintaining strong documentation and lien integrity truly aligns with my experience and passion for secured transactions,” Knott said. “I look forward to contributing to the continued growth and operational excellence at Franklin.”
