US Capital Global announced that Chris Ragland has joined the firm as senior vice president, strengthening its leadership team and expanding its presence in Texas.

Based in Austin, Ragland will support the firm’s middle-market capital formation activities across Texas and Mexico.

Ragland brings more than 20 years of experience advising founders, operators, family offices and institutional capital providers. His background includes structuring and executing debt and equity transactions across private credit, real estate, private equity and venture-backed businesses. Throughout his career, he has worked with management teams on growth initiatives, acquisitions and liquidity events across a range of industries.

US Capital Global is headquartered in San Francisco and has offices in New York, Philadelphia, Miami, London, Milan, Zurich and Dubai. The firm focuses on corporate finance, asset management and capital formation for middle-market companies.

“I am delighted to welcome Chris to US Capital Global,” Charles Towle, chief operating officer and managing partner at US Capital Global, said. “I have known and worked with Chris for nearly a decade, including as co-founders of a real estate fund that we successfully formed, scaled, and institutionalized. I am very pleased to be collaborating with him again. Chris will co-lead our Mexico initiative alongside Frank Villarreal and will also co-anchor our Texas presence, where he brings deep market knowledge and a strong track record in originating and supporting investment opportunities.”

With Ragland’s appointment, the firm has opened a new office in Austin, reinforcing Texas as a strategic market for middle-market capital formation. The state continues to attract private investment activity across private equity, venture capital and private credit.
Texas-headquartered companies attracted approximately $9.9 billion in venture capital investment last year through Nov. 25, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence.

“I am extremely pleased to join US Capital Global and contribute to the continued development of its global platform,” Ragland said. “As an operator and principal, my focus has consistently been on helping businesses navigate complex capital needs. I look forward to bringing that perspective to the firm as it continues to expand its reach and capabilities.”
