Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) Tax, an affiliate of global professional services firm A&M, has appointed Michael Bertolino as its first global markets leader.
Bertolino, who joins as managing director, will lead efforts to strengthen client engagement across global markets, aligning strategy, talent acquisition and services to support growth. His arrival coincides with a series of internal leadership appointments that collectively expand the firm’s capacity to address complex, multi-jurisdictional needs.

Prior to joining A&M, Bertolino was with EY, where he held the position of global leader, people advisory services. Previously, he was deputy global vice chair of Tax based in the UK.

Concurrent with Bertolino joining, A&M Tax announced several key leadership appointments aimed at supporting growth and integration:
Adam Benson has been named head of A&M Tax U.S. He will retain leadership of the U.S. Global Transaction Tax (GTT) practice as well. Benson has been with the organization for 14 years and has led the GTT U.S. team since 2018.
Jeffrey Schwarcz will lead the GTT U.S. private equity practice, collaborating closely with teams across restructuring tax, the national tax office, and licensing advisory services.
Dan Peters has been appointed the global head of transfer pricing.
Justin Whitehouse has been appointed the global head of indirect tax.
