For over four decades, Gary Robinson has been a driving force behind major retail and asset disposition initiatives across North America. As Managing Director of Marketing & Branding at SB360 Capital Partners and Second Avenue Capital Partners (SACP), Robinson’s influence extends beyond marketing — shaping how companies position themselves and connect with audiences in a competitive financial landscape.

His career began on a department store sales floor in the late 1970s, where his instinct and drive quickly propelled him into leadership roles in merchandising and buying. Those early years grounded him in adaptability, intuition and customer insight — traits that would later define his strategic approach to business challenges.

Since joining a predecessor to SB360 in 1988, Robinson has played key roles in landmark disposition projects including Circuit City, Heilig-Meyers, and Eaton’s Canada. His direct involvement in operational execution gave him a rare perspective, bridging front-line operations with executive-level decision-making and long-term strategy.

In the early 2000s, Robinson pivoted into marketing, delving into design, web development, copywriting and branding. As one of the planners behind SB360 and SACP’s brand identities, he helped craft distinct voices for both companies. His campaigns go beyond visual appeal — each is strategically grounded and aligned with clear business goals.

Robinson is known for fostering creativity, leading with clarity, empathy and attention to detail. His mentorship style — challenging yet supportive — has helped shape a new generation of marketing professionals within the industry.
