Loren Shifrin is the CEO of REV Capital, a leader in commercial finance that has redefined factoring through innovation, operational excellence and a strong focus on people. With nearly two decades of industry experience, Shifrin’s journey is built on hands-on learning, strategic vision, and relentless drive.
He began his career in collections and deliberately worked through almost every operational role, gaining practical insight that shaped his leadership. After serving as COO at Baron Finance, Shifrin founded REV Capital in 2017. What started as a small startup has grown into Canada’s largest factoring company and one of the top 10 in the U.S., funding over $3 billion annually and employing nearly 100 people.
REV Capital’s growth reflects Shifrin’s commitment to client service, employee experience and continuous innovation. Beyond factoring, his expertise has expanded into prepaid solutions and fuel technology — moves that show Loren’s ability to anticipate market needs and create value.
He’s also helping shape the industry’s future. As the founding Chair of the International Factoring Association’s NEXGEN Committee, he champions mentorship and supports rising professionals. He sits on the boards of the IFA and American Factoring Association and has contributed to thought leadership via the Forbes Business Council and World Factoring Yearbook.
Shifrin leads with four principles: integrity, adaptability, empowerment and determination. He believes in investing in people, staying agile in the face of change and never compromising on ethics.
Named one of SFNet’s 40 Under 40 and a graduate of executive programs at the Rotman School of Management and Harvard Business School, Shifrin remains committed to pushing the industry forward. His story isn’t just about success — it’s about lifting others, staying grounded in values and driving lasting impact in specialty finance.
