Nicole Hines
Director of Commercial Operations, Advisory Services
B. Riley Financial

Nicole Hines is B. Riley Financial’s appraisal and valuation services group’s go-to person for all questions that need an insightful answer. Under Hines’ leadership, B. Riley Advisory Services’ commercial operations group focuses on creating efficiencies so the company can better serve clients. The commercial operations group also gives associates tools to make their work-life easier, all the while increasing the bottom line. Hines excels at implementing new and improved processes; even if something has always been done a certain way, if there is a better way to do it, she’ll find it.

Throughout her career, Hines has adopted two vital priorities: communication and efficiency. With more than 20 years of experience, Hines has been able to apply both of these in several areas of her work. She is always looking for ways that the team can improve communication, both internally and externally. “One of the things I love is collaboration and communication between groups, which sets us apart as a cohesive unit,” Hines says.

width=Hines has had an extensive career with B. Riley and has held multiple roles, giving her a full scope of the businesses she serves. She started as an analyst, then led and managed an inventory appraisal team that worked on more than 500 appraisals. She eventually changed course to join the sales team before landing on the corporate side, allowing her to gain insight into each of the firm’s appraisal and valuation services groups as well as the broader B. Riley Financial platform.

Hines presently serves as director of commercial operations for B. Riley Advisory Services. She is proud of the fact that she’s been with the same firm for nearly her whole career. It’s evident to those around her that she values the relationships she has made throughout the years, be it with colleagues, lenders, auditors, company executives or anyone in between.
