Leigh Guglielmo
VP of Business Development – New Orleans
Republic Business Credit

Leigh Guglielmo has 25 years of sales experience, more than half of which have been in the factoring and asset-based lending industry. However, when she joined Republic Business Credit 12 years ago, she was one of the first and only business development officers in the then-startup company. She has since established herself as a notable and leading talent in the financial industry, particularly in the Southeast region.

Guglielmo works closely with potential clients to create tailored ABL solutions that allow companies to grow and thrive in their respective markets. Specifically, Guglielmo has helped many small businesses throughout the Gulf Coast region, delivering more than $100 million in working capital facilities to companies in the region during her career.

Beyond Republic Business Credit, Guglielmo currently serves as the sponsorship chairman of the Louisiana chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and is actively involved in the Association of Corporate Growth and the Secured Finance Network.

width=Guglielmo says some of the most pressing challenges she has faced in her career have been those of her clients, especially as they emerged from pandemic-era practices and adjusted to new markets. When dealing with potential clients who are struggling to stay afloat or pursuing a rapid growth plan, Guglielmo is challenged to be flexible and creative, but she has a proven track record of success built on exploring new types of partnerships and solutions.

Guglielmo strives to be a life-long learner and student of the ABL industry. She aims to continue growing her relationships in the field while serving as a mentor and resource to the next generation of ABL professionals.

“Always be a team player, don’t hesitate to offer your opinions or suggestions and don’t ever, ever, ever compromise your professional ethics or integrity,” Guglielmo says. “If you lose your integrity, you lose everything.”
