Perella Weinberg Elects Six to Partnership

Financial services firm Perella Weinberg Partners elected six team members to join the firm’s partnership, effective January 1, 2019. Those partners will include John Rusty D’Anna in Securities in Houston, Jason D. Forschler in Advisory in San Francisco, Jeffrey P. Knupp in Advisory in Denver and Alexander T. Tracy, James R. Wappler and Benjamin G. Wilcox in Advisory in New York.

Steel, CEO and partner of Perella Weinberg Partners. “Their election reflects their significant accomplishments and the contributions they have made serving our clients, promoting the firm’s culture and helping to drive the firm’s success. We congratulate them on this important achievement and look forward to their continued contributions.”

D’Anna is head of Sales & Trading with responsibility for managing the daily operations and setting strategic direction for the equities business. He has 11 years of experience and previously served as a vice president at Credit Suisse and as an associate at Citigroup.

Forschler focuses on advising a broad range of clients in the healthcare sector on M&A and capital raising transactions. He has more than 14 years of investment banking experience and previously served as a member of the Healthcare Investment Banking teams at J.P. Morgan and Piper Jaffray. He started his career with Deloitte.

Knupp focuses on advising upstream clients in the energy sector. He has more than 10 years of investment banking experience, having previously served as a petroleum engineer consultant for Netherland, Sewell & Associates and as an exploitation engineer at Merit Energy Company. He began his career at ExxonMobil Development Company as a reservoir engineer.

Tracy focuses on advising clients in connection with corporate restructurings, financings and mergers and acquisitions.

He has more than 18 years of investment banking experience assisting companies on a wide range of strategic matters and previously served in various roles at Miller Buckfire & Co., Chanin Capital Partners and Prudential Securities.

Wappler focuses on advising clients in the Consumer/Retail sector. He has more than 12 years of experience advising companies on a wide range of strategic and financial matters. Prior to joining PWP, Wappler was at Deloitte Consulting and Mercer Consulting as a consultant.

Wilcox focuses on advising clients across sectors on a variety of strategic matters and transaction types. He has more than 14 years of investment banking experience, having previuously served as a vice president at Lehman Brothers and an associate at Banc of America. Before becoming a banker, Wilcox worked as a financial analyst in private equity.
