AlixPartners Named a “Top Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality” by HRC

For the second year in a row, consulting firm AlixPartners has earned a perfect score of 100% on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Corporate Equality Index (CEI), ranking AlixPartners among HRC’s 2019 “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality.”

CEI is a national benchmarking survey that evaluates the LGBTQ-related corporate policies and practices of more than 1,000 companies, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive healthcare benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.

As an employer who received a perfect score, AlixPartners continues to be among the ranks of companies who satisfy all of the CEI’s criteria and receive the designation “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.”

“We are delighted once again to be recognized as a best place to work for LGBTQ+ equality. This designation represents our commitment to our people, enables us to continue to attract the best talent, and in turn makes us a better partner for our clients,” said Simon Freakley, CEO of AlixPartners. “I am proud of the strides we have made toward a more diverse and inclusive workplace, and we will continue to enhance our initiatives and programs that promote the acceptance and inclusion of all colleagues regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.”

“While achieving the perfect score is a reason to celebrate, the real achievement is the improvement to our organization triggered by our participation in the CEI survey process,” said Rob Hornby, managing director at AlixPartners and executive sponsor of the PrideMatters Employee Resource Group. “The survey’s breadth of categories and all the departments within a company it encompasses guided us to address LGBTQ issues and examine and enhance our programs. For example, AlixPartners now offers total parity of benefits between same sex and opposite sex couples.”

In addition to the policies and procedures reviewed by HRC, AlixPartners has created a culture where team members from across the firm’s international footprint volunteer to participate in Employee Resource Groups to help foster a diverse and inclusive workplace that aligns with AlixPartners’ mission and core values.
