BTIG welcomed Kimberly Boulmetis to the firm’s specialty finance investment banking unit as managing director. Boulmetis will be based in the New York office and will report to Dan Blood, managing director and head of specialty finance at BTIG.

In her new role at the firm, Boulmetis will expand banking coverage of business development companies (BDCs), asset managers, closed-end funds and mortgage REITS.

“We are thrilled to add Kim to our banking leadership team,” Matt Clark, chief operating officer, BTIG Investment Banking, said. “She brings extensive experience in dealmaking across the specialty finance vertical. We look forward to her insight and to her contributions across our banking pipeline.”

Boulmetis has more than 20 years of investment banking and debt capital markets experience. Prior to BTIG, she was a managing director within FIG Investment Banking at Oppenheimer, responsible for providing strategic and financing solutions to alternative and traditional asset managers and real estate companies. Previously, Boulmetis held similar roles at Incapital, Alliance Bernstein, Bank of New York, JP Morgan and Bear Stearns.

“We are pleased to welcome Kim to BTIG. As part of the specialty finance division, we are confident she will strengthen our existing capabilities and diversify our platform,” Blood said. “Kim is a proven leader with a collaborative mindset, and we believe that she will add tremendous value to our BDC, asset management, closed-end fund and REIT clients and prospects.”

BTIG Investment Banking provides equity capital markets, debt capital advisory and strategic advisory products for corporate clients across the consumer, energy, financials, healthcare, real estate, shipping, and technology, media and telecommunications sectors. The team offers expertise in M&A, capital markets advisory, IPOs, follow-on offerings, ATMs, SPACs, private placements, convertibles, debt and corporate buybacks. The firm’s aftermarket services include trading, corporate access, as well as proprietary research and strategy products.
