White Oak Commercial Finance hired Garrick Tan, Fridolf Hanson and Bill Kearney as senior business development officers to its ABL and lender finance platform. In their roles, Tan, Hanson and Kearney will focus on sourcing transactions with committed capital needs ranging from $15 million to $250 million.

With 20 years of commercial banking experience, Tan has knowledge of corporate finance, capital markets and asset-based lending. Prior to White Oak, he worked at Wells Fargo Capital Finance as the eastern region manager. Tan will be based in Boston and will cover the New England region. He will be responsible for referral source coverage and will lead White Oak’s national direct calling efforts.

Hanson has more than 20 years of experience in originations and senior-debt transactions, most recently serving as a managing director at OceanArc Capital Partners after holding senior positions at Ares Management, LBC Credit Partners, Royal Bank of Scotland, Wells Fargo and GE Capital. He will be based in New York and serve the Northeast region.

Kearney has more than 30 years of experience in asset-based and cash flow lending. He was most recently a founding member of Encina Business Credit, where he served as a senior managing director. Prior to joining Encina, Kearney held positions at CIT Group, Wachovia, Deutsche Financial and Bank Boston, where he originated both senior and junior capital opportunities. Kearney will be responsible for originating transactions throughout the Southeast region and will direct White Oak’s newly established national retail strategy.

“We are thrilled to add this accomplished trio of professionals to our talented team, which will enable us to build upon last year’s success. We have recently added depth to the underwriting team and are positioned to further scale our ABL and lender finance platforms in 2021. We are confident that these additions will enhance our ability to drive a broad range of creative capital solutions to our clients and referral sources,” Andy McGhee, vice chairman of White Oak Commercial Finance, said.
