Gordon Brothers, a global advisory, restructuring and investment firm, was appointed sole asset selling agent for TS Tech UK, a car seat manufacturer. Gordon Brothers will offer the assets of TS Tech’s Swindon, England-based site for sale by way of a private treaty sale and an online auction sale in October. This specialized sale presents the opportunity to acquire automotive seat manufacturing equipment.

TS Tech is a Japanese manufacturer of seats for cars and motorcycles. Its Swindon, England-based site was the car seat supplier for a nearby Honda manufacturing plant, which permanently closed in July, the same month production ceased at the TS Tech UK plant.

The assets available in this sale will feature specialist automotive seat manufacturing equipment and machinery, including 19 robotic MIG welding cells, spin rivet machines, a tube bending system, chemical foam injection equipment, maintenance equipment and compressors.

Highlighted assets for sale include two assembly lines consisting of:

  • Yoshikawa hydraulic spin rivet machines

“We are excited to be appointed sole selling agent for this unprecedented sale at TS Tech UK in Swindon,” Duncan Ainscough, managing director of commercial and industrial at Gordon Brothers, said. “The site presents a unique selection of car seat manufacturing equipment for purchase and a rare opportunity for relevant companies to acquire specialist equipment at highly competitive prices.”

“Following the appointment of Gordon Brothers as the exclusive selling agent for machinery and equipment at Honda’s Swindon plant, it was a natural next step to appoint them to manage the asset sale for TS Tech’s Swindon site,” Jeremy Baskott, division manager at TS Tech, said. “The team’s experience and professionalism has been clear from the start and we are confident that they will efficiently manage the project to its best outcome.”
