CohnReznick Selects Martin to Lead Boston and Greater Massacheusetts Offices

byIan Koplin

in People

Kevin P. Martin, Jr. is assuming the role of office managing partner – Massachusetts at CohnReznick, an advisory, assurance and tax firm, effective Feb. 1. This significantly expands Martin’s leadership role in the state as he will now lead the Boston office in addition to maintaining his current responsibilities managing the Braintree, Danvers and Fall River offices.

Martin’s new role in Massachusetts comes at a key time for CohnReznick as the firm continues to build its bench strength through robust hiring across all levels. Within its Northeast region, the firm’s largest, CohnReznick’s affordable housing, real estate and not-for-profit practices continue to grow in Massachusetts along with regional expertise in technology, life sciences, private client services, tax credits, financial services, consumer, hospitality and manufacturing.

“Kevin’s dynamic leadership style, 30-plus years of public accounting experience, and deep commitment to giving back to his community make him the right person for this position,” David Kessler, CEO of CohnReznick, said. “Advancing our capabilities and reputation throughout the New England marketplace is an important part of our strategic growth plan.

“I want to express my deep appreciation to Ed Kindelan, who is transitioning the Boston OMP role in advance of his January 2024 retirement, for his exceptional leadership and commitment to our people and clients in Greater Boston.”

“This is an incredible time to be a member of CohnReznick’s Massachusetts team and I am honored to have the opportunity to lead all four of the firm’s Massachusetts offices,” Martin said. “On a personal note, having grown up in Boston, I am looking forward to sharing its richness in talent, industry, and innovation with the greater Massachusetts marketplace and beyond.”

“It has been an absolute privilege to serve the Boston community for so many years,” Kindelan said. “Our Boston team is truly outstanding, and I am certain they will continue to thrive under Kevin’s leadership.”
