Washington Trust promoted Anthony Botelho to executive vice president and chief commercial lending officer, Elizabeth Boyle Eckel to executive vice president and chief marketing and corporate communications officer, James A. Mignone to executive vice president and chief information officer, and Julia Anne M. Slom to executive vice president and chief commercial real estate lending officer.

Botelho joined Washington Trust in 2021 with more than 35 years of expertise in relationship management, private banking, commercial real estate and market development. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Freedom National Bank based in Greenville, RI.

Boyle joined Washington Trust in 1991 and has more than 30 years of professional marketing experience. In her role, she will be responsible for developing marketing and brand strategy for the bank and its subsidiaries, as well as investor relations activities with the shareholder and investment communities. Boyle will also be responsible for oversight of the bank’s community relations, including its signature Peanut Butter Drive and its national Points of Light employee volunteerism program.

Mignone has more than 35 years of experience in the financial, technology auditing and banking industries and will lead Washington Trust’s bank operations and technology teams. Prior to joining the bank in 2016, he served as vice president of corporate information security at State Street and senior vice president of information risk at Citizens Bank.

Slom will lead Washington Trust’s commercial real estate (CRE) and small business lending groups. She developed the bank’s CRE group in 2013 and oversees the retention and growth of its loan portfolio, as well as outreach, support and loan development for small businesses throughout the bank’s market area.
