Moritt Hock & Hamroff Welcomes 2024 Class of Summer Associates and Legal Interns

Moritt Hock & Hamroff welcomed Julia DeFazio, Douglas Notaris and Pacika Guerra to its 2024 Summer Associates & Legal Interns Program. DeFazio and Notaris join the firm as summer associates, while Guerra joins as a legal intern.

“We are excited to welcome this year’s summer associate class to the firm,” Michael Cardello III, managing partner at Moritt Hock & Hamroff, said. “Collaborating with our attorneys, the group will gain real work life experience and comprehensive training to the practice of law across a multitude of the firm’s practice areas. We look forward to mentoring these talented law students in the advancement of their legal careers.”

DeFazio is a rising 3L at the Maurice A. Dean School of Law at Hofstra University, where she is a member of the Student Bar Association. She earned her B.A. in law in society, with a minor in business management from Quinnipiac University.

Notaris is a rising 3L at Benjamin J. Cardozo School of Law and is the staff editor of Cardozo’s International & Comparative Law Review. He earned his MS in accounting and his B.S. in science of accounting and concentration in finance from Binghamton University. Notaris previously worked for the New York State Department of Financial Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Guerra is a rising 2L at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where she is a member of the Women of Color Collective.  She earned her B.A. in political science and criminal justice from the University of Albany.
