Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli welcomed John M. Robert as a shareholder in the tax practice group in Washington, D.C. Joining from an Am Law 30 firm, Robert focuses his practice on corporate and international tax matters and has substantial experience in structuring corporate mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, spin-offs, liquidations and cross-border transfers.

Robert has more than a decade of experience advising clients on complex tax matters, including negotiating, documenting, facilitating and consummating transactions involving partnerships, corporations and offshore entities. He also assists clients in obtaining private letter rulings from the Internal Revenue Service.
Robert received his LL.M.in Taxation from New York University School of Law and his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Brigham Young University.
