Zaroff & Zaroff Partners Move Practice to Moritt Hock & Hamroff

Moritt Hock & Hamroff (MH&H) welcomed Ira S. Zaroff and Richard M. Zaroff to the firm’s growing litigation practice, working out of its New York City office. I. Zaroff joins the firm as a partner while R. Zaroff joins as senior counsel. They previously served as founding partners of Zaroff & Zaroff, a boutique New York complex commercial litigation firm.

“Having run their own successful practice for many years, Ira and Richard possess a wealth of experience in complex commercial litigation matters, and my partners and I are delighted to welcome them to our team,” Michael Cardello III, managing partner at Moritt Hock & Hamroff, said. “Their additions further strengthen our litigation practice, which aims to position our clients for the best possible resolutions to their business disputes whether it be through settlement or verdict.”

“Richard and I are thrilled to join this dynamic firm. This move represents an exciting new chapter for us in our professional development,” I. Zaroff said. “We eagerly look forward to contributing our best practices and expertise to MH&H’s already robust litigation practice as we continue to deliver exceptional legal services to our clients.”

The continued New York City growth for Moritt Hock & Hamroff follows the firm’s 2023 announcement when several attorneys from the former Ganfer Shore Leeds & Zauderer firm, including partners Matthew Leeds, David Fitzhenry and William McCracken, joined MH&H to expand its real estate, condo and co-op practice in Manhattan and “is part of the firm’s execution of its long-term plan for the New York City office,” Marc L. Hamroff, chairman of MH&H, said.

I. Zaroff concentrates his practice in all facets of general corporate and commercial law and litigation. The scope of his practice is diversified, and includes litigating complex multi-jurisdictional commercial issues in both federal and state trial and appellate courts and arbitral tribunals including the AAA, JAMS and FINRA. (Ira) Zaroff is also a FINRA Dispute Resolution Services Arbitrator.

For over 50 years, R. Zaroff has been an active litigator who has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of commercial matters of varying degrees of complexity including highly complex multi-jurisdictional banking disputes. R. Zaroff has also practiced actively and extensively in the corporate and securities fields where he handled merger and acquisition transactions, private and public offerings and general corporate and partnership matters.
