William Blair, a global boutique with expertise in investment banking, investment management and private wealth management, hired Terence Tan as managing director in the firm’s healthcare investment banking team. Based in New York, Tan will focus on providing biopharma companies with comprehensive advisory services.

Tan brings more than 19 years of experience in biopharma investment banking, serving companies across all stages of development. He joins from Cantor Fitzgerald, where he served as a managing director focused on providing biopharma companies with investment banking guidance, including debt, equity and equity-linked securities, private placements and mergers and acquisitions. Tan has worked closely with venture capital firms, hedge funds and mutual funds to unlock sophisticated financing solutions, having also held roles with Jefferies and UBS. He received his B.S. from Cornell University.
