Adam Weinstein and Tony Feuerstein joined Sidley Austin’s growing global Private Equity and M&A practices as partners in New York.

“We are delighted that Adam and Tony have decided to join Sidley as we continue to advance our strategy to build out our private equity capabilities,” said Larry Barden, chair of Sidley’s Management Committee. “Their arrival marks a major step forward for us in New York, and they will play pivotal roles in leading the expansion of our private equity and M&A services in that market.”

Weinstein and Feuerstein are leading private equity lawyers who have represented some of the largest private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in high-profile private equity M&A transactions. Both regularly advise clients on complex carveouts, take-privates, cross-border M&A, leveraged buyouts and investments and divestitures, as well as the management of portfolio companies and corporate governance matters.

The addition of Weinstein and Feuerstein in the Private Equity and M&A practices in New York follows on the heels of significant expansions of the Private Equity practice in Sidley’s Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Boston, London and Munich offices.

“Adam and Tony share our vision and determination to expand Sidley’s already substantial private equity capabilities, both in the New York market and globally,” said Erik Dahl, a co-leader of Sidley’s global Private Equity practice and member of the firm’s Executive Committee. “They will play a large role in seamlessly linking together our global private equity offerings. Adam and Tony have sheer talent and drive, and are innovative thinkers, which will make them excellent advisers to our clients.”

Sidley has 2,000 lawyers in 20 offices around the globe and provides legal advice to clients across the spectrum of industries.
