Reuters reported that S&P and its parent company McGraw Hill Financial won a ruling that moves 15 lawsuits in which they were accused of fraudulently inflating credit ratings to a single federal court.
Shareholders of McGraw-Hill Companies voted to change the company’s name to McGraw Hill Financial, which more closely identifies the company with the credit ratings, benchmarks and analytics it provides to global capital and commodity markets.
The McGraw-Hill Companies completed the sale of its McGraw-Hill Education business to investment funds affiliated with Apollo Global Management. The new company will be renamed McGraw Hill Financial.
