BlackRock TCP Capital (TCPC) and BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation (BCIC)’s business development company shareholders voted to approve the necessary proposals related to the merger of TCPC and BCIC.
BlackRock and Kreos Capital entered into a definitive agreement under which BlackRock will acquire full control of Kreos, which is a provider of growth and venture debt financing to companies in the technology and healthcare industries.
BlackRock appointed Nik Singhal president and Abby Miller CFO and treasurer. Singhal previously served at HBK and was a vice president at Lehman Brothers. Miller was an executive director at Rabobank and also served at Fortress and MUFG.
BlackRock Capital Investment named Michael Zugary, current head of investments for the U.S. Private Capital Group, CEO. James Keenan, global head of fundamental credit, was named chairman of the board.
