Citizens Financial Group appointed Susan deTray head of Citizens Private Bank. In this new role, she will lead the bank’s private banking growth strategy and partner across the enterprise to propel growth in wealth management, business banking and commercial banking.
Citizens Financial Group accelerated its private banking growth strategy with the addition of approximately 50 new senior private bankers and related support staff in Boston, Florida, New York and San Francisco. Many of the new team members were formerly with First Republic Bank.
Citizens Bank entered into an agreement to acquire 80 East Coast branches from HSBC Bank as well as HSBC’s national online deposit business. Under the agreement, Citizens will acquire approximately $9 billion in deposits and approximately $2.2 billion in loans.
Citizens Financial Group has named Brendan Coughlin as its head of Consumer Banking.
