PlainsCapital Bank added Randy Robinson as Denton market president. With more than 40 years of experience in financial services, Robinson will lead the bank’s strategic growth and community engagement efforts in the Denton market.

“Randy brings a deep understanding of the Denton market, a great track record of building strong teams and a genuine passion for serving clients,” Brian Heflin, president of PlainsCapital Bank, said. “He knows this community well, and I’m confident he’ll make a meaningful impact on our clients, our team and the broader Denton area.”

As market president, Robinson will oversee PlainsCapital’s operations in Denton. His responsibilities include driving loan and deposit growth, managing a team of banking professionals and leading community outreach initiatives.

Robinson previously served as senior vice president, regional commercial lender at PointBank for more than a decade. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of AccessBank Texas, now part of Texas Regional Bank, for seven years.

“I’m excited to join PlainsCapital Bank and help grow its presence in a community I care deeply about,” Robinson said. “I look forward to working with a team that values strong relationships and is committed to making a positive local impact.”

Throughout his 46-year career, Robinson has been a dedicated advocate for the Denton community. He was named the 2024 Denton Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year and currently serves in numerous leadership roles, including treasurer of the North Texas Fair Association, lieutenant governor of Rotary District 5790 and co-chair of the United Way of Denton County’s Annual Golf Tournament. He also serves on the board of trustees for Medical City Denton, Decatur and Argyle, and is a board member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes of Greater Denton County.

Robinson’s past service includes leadership roles with the Denton Rotary Club, the Dean’s Advisory Board for the University of North Texas G. Brint Ryan College of Business, the City of Denton Economic Development Partnership Board, the Denton Chamber of Commerce, Texas Woman’s University Foundation Board and United Way of Denton County, among many others. Robinson is also a graduate of Leadership Northeast Tarrant County and a 1999 graduate of Leadership Denton.

Robinson earned a BBA in finance from the University of North Texas.
