Richards Kibbe & Orbe elected Margaret Winterkorn Meyers and Kevin Rubinstein to partnership and elevated Robert Waldner to counsel. All three are based out of the firm’s New York office.

“Margaret, Kevin and Bob have consistently demonstrated the highest level of leadership, talent and commitment to client service, and we are proud to recognize their accomplishments and dedication to RK&O,” said Jennifer Grady, Richards Kibbe & Orbe managing partner. “Margaret’s extensive experience in civil litigation and regulatory enforcement matters is a tremendous benefit to clients, while Kevin and Bob have broadened the expertise of the firm’s corporate and finance transactions group in the areas of commercial lending transactions and distressed debt.”

Meyers practices in the firm’s Investigations & Enforcement and Civil Litigation practice groups. She represents institutional and individual clients in regulatory and white collar criminal proceedings, internal investigations, and complex commercial civil litigation. Meyers previously clerked for the Hon. Kiyo A. Matsumoto of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the Hon. Denny Chin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Rubinstein practices in the firm’s Corporate & Finance Transactions practice group and specializes in commercial lending transactions. He regularly represents investment banks, private equity funds and other financial institutions in connection with a variety of direct lending transactions, as well as investments in syndicated loans in the secondary market.

Waldner practices in the firm’s Corporate & Finance Transactions practice group, where he specializes in secondary distressed and high-yield debt transactions. He represents banks, broker-dealers, investment funds and other financial institutions in connection with the purchase and sale of various par and distressed assets, including bank loans, debt and equity securities, and claims against bankruptcy estates.
