Melanie Guzman
Executive Vice President of Factoring
nFusion Capital

“Early in my career, I thought leadership meant having the right answers. I’ve since learned it’s about asking better questions, listening with intention and creating an environment where others feel trusted, supported and empowered to succeed.”

Melanie Guzman’s journey in specialty finance is a testament to the power of curiosity, dedication and relationship-driven leadership. Beginning her career in an entry-level data entry role at Amerisource, Guzman’s fascination with the industry quickly developed into a lasting passion. Over nearly 14 years, she steadily advanced through customer- facing and management positions, building a deep foundation in portfolio management, client relations and practical problem-solving.

In 2021, Guzman joined nFusion Capital, where her commitment to accountability and client success made an immediate impact. Promoted to team lead in 2025, she seamlessly transitioned from individual contributor to leader, empowering her team to thrive. By 2026, her strategic contributions and strong track record led to her promotion to executive vice president of factoring. Her career milestones include earning the Certified Account Executive in Factoring (CAEF) designation and being named to SFNet’s 40 Under 40 in 2024 — a defining recognition that validated her quiet, persistent impact on the industry.

What sets Guzman apart is her ability to blend disciplined risk management with a compassionate, relationship-focused approach. She believes specialty finance is built on mutual trust and excels at helping clients navigate their most complex challenges, from rapid growth to financial distress. By aligning diverse internal and external stakeholders, Guzman crafts creative, structured solutions that protect portfolios while positioning businesses for long-term stability.

Beyond transaction success, Guzman is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of leaders. She advocates for giving women early exposure to critical credit and strategic decisions, helping them develop the executive judgment and confidence needed to step into senior leadership roles.
