Mountain Ridge Capital (MRC) closed a $25 million senior secured credit facility to S&W Seed Company, a global multi-crop, middle-market agricultural company.
The MRC facility refinanced the debt of a commercial bank; the proceeds will be used to assist the borrower’s management team in reaching its growth and operational objectives. The enhanced credit package from MRC provides additional liquidity and structural flexibility which will aid the company in managing its cash needs.
“This story is one of success for the Mountain Ridge team because we maintained a conversation with management over the past couple of years,” Bill Drmacich from MRC said. “We monitored this company’s development and performance and we were ready to act when the bank ultimately withdrew its support. We worked closely with both a new management team and the company’s majority shareholder to arrive at a mutually beneficial financing solution.”
