PYA added John Knox as tax principal. Knox has over 12 years of experience providing strategic tax planning, tax consulting, compliance, income tax provision and audit services for clients across a diverse range of industries, including investment management, private equity, healthcare, energy, consumer and industrial products and manufacturing. He provides expert support in federal, multi-state, and international tax compliance; corporate and partnership federal income tax; and mergers and acquisitions tax advisory.

A certified public accountant, Knox is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. He earned a master of science in accounting and bachelor of science in accounting degrees from East Carolina University.
