Hogan Lovells Adds M&A Partner Lowrance to Boston Office

Bryan Lowrance has a wide range of experience in mergers, stock purchases, asset purchases, carve-out and spin-off transactions, with experience in both public and private target M&A on the buy-side and the sell-side.

Bryan Lowrance has joined global law firm Hogan Lovells as a partner in its M&A practice area based in the Boston office. He joins from Ropes & Gray.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bryan to Hogan Lovells. His public company M&A experience on both the transaction and securities side will add to our growing strength in this area,” James Doyle, global head of the corporate and finance practice group, said. “The continued growth of our M&A practice reflects the increasing demand from clients for support on their most complex transactional matters. As M&A demand continues to rise, especially in highly regulated industries, Bryan will play an integral role in delivering market-leading service to our clients.”

Lowrance has a wide range of experience in mergers, stock purchases, asset purchases, carve-out and spin-off transactions, with experience in both public and private target M&A on the buy-side and the sell-side. While his work is largely concentrated in the life sciences and health care sector, he also has experience in medical devices and pharmaceutics, semiconductors, insurance and public utilities. He also regularly advises clients on shareholder activism defense. He served as the co-lead for the shareholder activism defense practice at Ropes & Gray. Prior to his time there, Lowrance worked at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.

Lowrance received his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, his PhD from Columbia University and his B.A. from Cornell University.
