Global M&A Network recognized Monroe Capital as the Mid-Markets Lender of the Year at the U.S.A. M&A Atlas Awards Gala on May 26.

The award recognizes Monroe Capital’s transactions, track record, sector expertise, team leadership and client service. The U.S.A. M&A Atlas Awards is part of the M&A Atlas Awards global brand, which honors best value-generating deals, star dealmakers and outstanding firms from North and South America.

“Monroe Capital exemplifies vision, tenacity and excellence for executing transactions from the vibrant small middle-market industries,” Shanta Kumari, CEO and global group editor at Global M&A Network, said. “Monroe’s quality deals illustrate their expertise, team approach and commitment to their clients.”

“We are honored to be named the ‘Mid-Markets Lender of the Year’ in 2021 for our accomplishments in middle-market finance,” Ted Koenig, president and CEO of Monroe Capital, said. “This year’s award is a testament to the team’s exemplary execution strategy, which has driven our continued growth as a leader in the middle market.”

Monroe Capital has approximately $9.7 billion in assets under management and a private credit platform of more than 25 vehicles comprised of direct lending and opportunistic credit funds, publicly traded and private BDCs, separately managed accounts and CLOs.
