Gateway Trade Funding promoted Malvin Tang to vice president and purchase order department head. In this role, Tang will oversee the operations of Gateway Trade Funding’s purchase order finance department, including deal structuring, transaction management and operational execution.

Since joining the firm, Tang has played a key role in supporting clients and partners with complex purchase order financing needs while ensuring transactions are executed efficiently and effectively.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to take on this role and continue working with such a strong team,” Tang said. “Purchase order financing can be complex, and our focus has always been on making the process as smooth and responsive as possible for our clients and referral partners.”

In addition, Gateway promoted Sam Abboud to junior vice president of the purchase order finance department. Abboud will continue to support the growth of Gateway’s purchase order financing platform, working closely with clients, brokers and internal teams to facilitate the successful funding of transactions.

“Gateway has a collaborative culture where everyone works together to find solutions for clients,” Abboud said. “I’m excited to continue building relationships and contributing to the team’s success.”

Gary Edidin, chairman and CEO at Gateway Trade Funding, said, “These promotions reflect both Malvin and Sam’s dedication to our clients and their deep understanding of the purchase order financing process. Their expertise, professionalism and commitment to service have made a meaningful impact on our business and our partners. We are excited to see them take on these expanded leadership roles as Gateway continues to grow.”
