Flatbay Capital Welcomes Reese as Business Development Officer in Colorado

in People

Flatbay Capital hired Adam Reese as its first business development officer stationed in Colorado, specifically focusing on the Denver and Kansas City metropolitan areas.

Reese’s experience includes lending, originations, underwriting and brokerage in Denver, New York and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In his 18 years, he’s held the positions of vice president, relationship manager, senior commercial lender, senior business development manager and account executive at respective companies.

Coincidently, he found Flatbay through networking. A mutual business contact reached out to Reese about the private lending company’s opportunity over LinkedIn. At the time, Reese worked as vice president and relationship manager at HomeStreet Bank, but he was itching to break into different markets.

“I am excited about the opportunity to grow Flatbay Capital’s market share in the Rocky Mountain Region and beyond,” Reese said. “Now more than ever, there is a need for non-bank financing to assist business owners in times of transition. Flatbay Capital aims to be that resource for borrowers and their bankers.”

“Adam’s professional background and outgoing personality matched with Flatbay’s innovative approach to non-bankable owner-occupied commercial real estate financing,” Elliot Smith, managing partner of Flatbay Capital, said. “It’s the perfect symbiotic relationship. We look forward to growing our presence in Colorado and the surrounding markets with his efforts.”
