Global business advisor EisnerAmper added Jeremy Sikkema as a tax partner and the leader of the M&A tax due diligence practice, as well as Matthew T. Brown as partner-in-charge in Minneapolis and Michelle A. Myhra as partner-in-charge in San Diego.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Sikkema advises private equity firms, corporate acquirers and family offices on the tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic transactions. He works closely with clients to develop tax-efficient structures, conduct due diligence and guide post-deal integration efforts that enhance value and manage risk. His approach combines in-depth technical expertise with a practical understanding of complex deal dynamics, enabling clients to make informed decisions throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Sikkema, a CPA, has a B.S. and an MSA in accounting from Western Michigan University as well as an MST from Grand Valley State University. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.

“As the M&A tax due diligence landscape becomes increasingly complex, practitioners of Jeremy’s caliber are essential in order to meet clients’ growth strategies,” Michael Laveman, tax partner and managing partner of the firm’s tax practice, said. “We warmly welcome Jeremy and look forward to him growing this key practice area.”

Jeffrey Kelson, co-leader of the firm’s national tax office, added, “With Jeremy on board, our tax due diligence capabilities have undergone a major upgrade, positioning us as a much stronger national player on both the buy- and sell-side diligence platforms.”

Brown is responsible for the day-to-day operations and long-term growth strategy for the Minneapolis office, which has more than 175 professionals. Brown is a tax partner in the private client services group, where he advises individuals, privately held businesses and trusts and estates. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the American Bar Association. In his community, he is on the board of trustees of the Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Brown takes over for current Minneapolis partner-in-charge Beth K. Leonard.

Myhra is responsible for the day-to-day operations and long-term growth strategy for the San Diego office, which has 80-plusprofessionals. Myhra is a tax partner in the private client services group who advises high-net-worth individuals, trusts and estates, and private foundations. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. In her community, she is a member of the San Dieguito Chapter of the National Charity League. Myhra takes over for current San Diego Partner-in-Charge Stephen J. Brownell.

“We’ve grown dramatically over the past several years, greatly expanding our geographic footprint, adding hundreds of talented colleagues along with the latest technologies and introducing many new service offerings to deepen our client relationships,” Diane Wasser, managing partner of regions for EisnerAmper, said. “Today’s rapidly changing world requires that we continuously align our leadership responsibilities with our strategy and vision. We wish Matt and Michelle well in their new roles, and we’re confident that these planned transitions will enhance the firm’s ability to effectively execute our strategy. And many thanks to Beth and Steve for their outstanding leadership during their ongoing careers and PIC tenures.”
