U.S. Bank Asset Based Finance, a provider in asset-based lending nationwide, has named J. Michael Smith as senior vice president. Smith will be based in Atlanta and have responsibility for the origination and structuring of asset-based loans in the Southeast region.
“J. Michael’s experience with new business development will support our continued growth in this region,” said Jim Doyle, national manager -business development, U.S. Bank Asset Based Finance. “We are pleased to have him join our team.”
Smith has more than 25 years of experience in all facets of the lending process including new business development, credit and special assets. He has held positions at National Bank of Canada, PNC Business Credit and Royal Bank of Scotland. Smith has a B.S. in Finance from Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College and an M.B.A. in Finance from The University of Dallas.
