Perella Weinberg Partners hired Joseph S. Lovell as a managing director in its advisory business.

Based in New York, Lovell will be a member of the firm’s Financial Institutions Group (FIG), working closely with partner Titus Leung to provide strategic and financial advice to clients in the asset management sector.

Lovell has approximately 15 years of investment banking experience. He joined from Wells Fargo Securities, where he was most recently a managing director focused on strategic advisory, mergers and acquisitions and capital-raising transactions in the asset management space.

Before joining Wells Fargo Securities, Lovell worked at Credit Suisse in the Financial Institutions Group. He began his career in London at investment bank Fox-Pitt Kelton.

Peter Weinberg, founding partner and head of advisory at Perella Weinberg Partners, said, “Joe’s global experience, particularly with clients in the asset management industry, is a welcome addition to our team. We expect to see increased transaction activity amongst asset managers due to continued globalization, new regulations and evolving investor demands across asset classes, vehicles and distribution channels.”

Perella Weinberg Partners is an independent, financial services firm providing advisory and asset management services to a global client base.
