Dykema named Thomas M. Schehr director of its Financial Industry Group, a multi-disciplinary group bringing together Dykema lawyers from all regions of the country in the areas of commercial and consumer litigation, lending and corporate finance, regulatory/compliance, and restructuring/insolvency.

Schehr will succeed Ed Weil, who was recently appointed to Dykema’s executive board. Laura Baucus will take over Schehr’s former position as leader of Dykema’s Financial Services Litigation Practice Group.

Schehr has extensive experience representing clients in a variety of complex litigation matters, including financial services, shareholder, commercial, real estate and health care disputes and has successfully tried several business and commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts, as well as in arbitration. He is a former president of the Eastern District of Michigan Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and a certified commercial arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
