Reuters reported that RPC Group said it would buy Global Closure Systems, a French bottle-top maker, for an enterprise value of €650 million ($71.28 million) to strengthen its position in Europe’s plastic packaging market.

According to Reuters, the deal marks an exit for private-equity firm PAI Partners whose funds bought GCS Group in 2005 for €583 million from Crown Holdings.

Credit Suisse advised PAI on the deal, while RBC Europe Ltd advised RPC, Reuters said.
