NEW YORK — Citi has appointed Wyatt Crowell as head of North America Citi Commercial Bank, effective May 2025.
Crowell will report to Tasnim Ghiawadwala, head of Citi Commercial Bank, and Sunil Garg, CEO of Citibank N.A. and head of North America.
Based in New York, Crowell joins Citi from HSBC, where he served as head of U.S. commercial banking since 2015. His previous roles include co-head of U.K. and Ireland corporate banking coverage and head of global multinational corporates at Barclays. He began his career at J.P. Morgan, where he worked in mergers and acquisitions and mid-corporate investment banking.
With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Crowell has led projects across multiple client segments and global institutions. Citi said he is known for prioritizing client experience and operational execution.

He will be leading a critically important part of our global franchise as we seek to continue scaling in our home market.”
Crowell will oversee the execution of Citi Commercial Bank’s growth strategy in North America, with a focus on expanding client relationships and delivering tailored solutions.
He holds an MBA with honors from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colgate University. He also serves on the board of directors for Eve’s Fund, a nonprofit supporting wellness programs for Native American youth near the Navajo Nation
