Jonathan Bloom—an asset-based lending and restructuring professional who brings decades of experience in commercial and industrial (C&I) and accounts receivable (A/R) assets has joined Tiger Group as Senior Director of Business Development. Bloom’s hiring further expands Tiger Group’s C&I and A/R category expertise as the company continues to grow its lending, valuation and disposition businesses.
Over the course of his career, the Denver-based executive has cultivated an extensive network of business contacts across North America. His new role primarily focuses on business development for Tiger Group’s Commercial & Industrial and Accounts Receivable divisions. Bloom will work closely with Chad Farrell, Managing Director of Tiger Commercial & Industrial, and Bruce Passen, Managing Director of Tiger Receivables.
“Jonathan and I worked together for nearly a decade. I have seen firsthand his extraordinary ability to analyze restructuring and distressed situations and quickly grasp the needs of borrowers, lenders and turnaround professionals,” Passen said. “I am confident that combining Jonathan’s insights, drive and creativity with Tiger Group’s full suite of advisory, finance and monetization services will result in game-changing solutions for our clients.”
“With respect to equipment loans and dispositions, Jonathan has touched virtually every commercial and industrial asset class, and he is well-positioned to advise banks, workout firms, bankruptcy trustees and other Tiger Group clients on holistic strategies for turning businesses around and maximizing recoveries,” Farrell said. “We’re very excited to welcome him aboard.”
Early in his career, Bloom served as Vice President of Sales for Hilco Receivables and then Vice President at Hilco Appraisal Services. The Indiana University Bloomington graduate subsequently served in executive roles at Loeb, Summit Investment Management, and Sunflower Bank.
“As the son of an ABL lender, this industry is in my blood. I am passionate about leveraging my experience to help lenders, borrowers and turnaround professionals find the strategies and services they need to achieve their goals,” Bloom said. “Our multidisciplinary team at Tiger Group acts as a force-multiplier in those efforts. Tiger Group’s platform is an excellent fit and I am greatly looking forward to partnering with my colleagues to take our client service to the next level.”
