Alvarez & Marsal Tax, an affiliate of global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), appointed Minah Hall as managing director, specializing in site selection and local incentives in its corporate transformation tax (CTT) group.
With nearly 25 years of experience providing strategic guidance and negotiating tax incentives, Hall advises clients at every stage of development, including Fortune 500, middle-market and start-up companies. She has extensive expertise working with companies managing significant changes in their physical footprints. Hall focuses on creating substantial benefits for companies across multiple sectors including distribution, manufacturing, operating data centers, retailers and corporate headquarters engagements.

Prior to joining A&M, Hall served as a managing director at boutique tax consulting firms and with several big four firms in Chicago. She began her career at Arthur Andersen and is recognized for notable assignments including speaking at national conferences including the Area Development Consultants Forum and Women in Economic Development Conferences. Additionally, she was appointed as an Economic Development Commissioner for the Village of Long Grove IL in 2018.
Hall earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She is a Certified Credits & Incentives Professional and is licensed to practice law in Illinois. She was named one of International Tax Review’s Women in Tax Leaders, has twice been awarded the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) Instructor of the Year and currently serves as IPT’s Chair of Certified Credits & Incentives Professional designation committee.
